Indecisive Mahama needs sycophants around him to thrive – NDC’s Amb. Osei

Former President John Dramani Mahama has declared his intention to contest the Presidency in the 2020 general polls. This however will happen should he be elected again in the party’s primaries as the Flagbearer of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).

He will face stiff opposition from the likes of Ekow Spio Garbrah, Prof. Joshua Alabi, Alban Bagbin, and Sylvester Mensah.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM, Ambassador Osei told host Kweku Owusu Agyei that ex President Mahama doesn’t have the discipline, focus or the moral turpitude to lead the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the 2020 elections.

According to him, there’s no way a person like John Mahama whose life has been characterized by indecision as he himself stated in his autobiography, can lead the NDC to victory in the impending crucial elections.

He stressed that the former President’s return to lead the NDC will be detrimental to the party’s chances of winning the elections as the Ghanaian electorate has rejected him.

“The country somehow misconstrued his [Mahama] timidity as being a calm person. The fact of the matter is that the man lacks the focus, the discipline and moral turpitude to lead the NDC and also to govern the country. He lacks the qualities necessary to lead the NDC to victory, his nature is such that he cultivates sycophancy. Because he himself is extremely indecisive he needs sycophants around him to thrive and the people around him knows that so they take advantage of him.”
