Mamoudou Gassama, the 22-year-old Malian man who climbed a four-storey building to save a child’s life in France would have been paid and immediately deported if Counsellor George Lutterodt was the President of France.

Many have described Mamoudou’s action as heroic thereby earning him the nickname “Spiderman of the 18th” following the heroism he displayed in rescuing the child who was dangling precariously over a sidewalk in the 18th Arrondissement.

He was invited by the French President, Emmanuel Macron and rewarded with legal status in France.

The four-year-old’s family have also thanked him for dramatically saving their child’s life.

According to the grandmother of the little boy, Mamoudou “Is truly a hero.”

But commenting on the issue on Adom TV’s Badwam show, the controversial Ghanaian Counsellor, disagrees that the 22-year-old should be made to stay in France as a permanent citizen.

He said the move by the “Spiderman” is a proof that he is nothing but an experienced thief whose stay in France could be dangerous to citizens.

“If it were me, immediately the guy climbs down after saving the child, we’ll pay him and get him deported. He is a criminal! If he’s able to speedily climb to the fourth floor to rescue someone, then he can as well go there to rob. I’ll get him deported,” Counsellor Lutterodt stressed.
