Controversial musician and sympathizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame A Plus, has refused to retract and apologise over some ‘’defamatory’’ comments he made against Communications Minister, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
The minister through her lawyer Gary Nimako Marfo, called on the musician to retract the ‘’defamatory’’ comments he made through Facebook against the minister over the KelniGVG brouhaha.
The notice from the minister through her lawyer said: On May 23, Kwame Asare Obeng better known as A-Plus is alleged to have written on his Facebook wall: “Kwasi Nyantakyi is only being sacrificed to cover up the $89/178 million KelniGVG stinking scandal.”
A Plus allegedly accused the minister of engaging in “some shady deals at the Communications Ministry and National Communication Authority (NCA).”
“We are instructed to notify you that our client takes a serious view of your defamatory publication on Facebook and would not hesitate to commence legal action against you if the said publication is not retracted on or before June 1, 2018.
“We are also instructed to notify you to render an unqualified apology in the same medium and prominence in the manner that your libelous publication was done.’’ But the musician has fired more salvos and dared the minister to sue him. He wondered why the NPP made him to attack former President John Dramani Mahama and yet they are threatening him with legal actions for criticizing them.
Describing himself as a lion, Kwame A Plus said “If I appologise Nimokafui and Ayetefrem and chalabim and Salafim should kill me. You think this is 2017. I only helped you to win power. I’m not Part of your nonsense.
I’m not afraid of anyone. Not a single soul. I’m wild like a lion!!! Bring it on. You’ll be humiliated.” Thieves!!! Bunch of f-king thieves. When you were waking me up at dawn to accuse John Mahama of everything did he sue me? Intolerant motherfuckers!!! You people will regret knowing me.
I will fight you till I drop dead!!! This kwame A Plus guy is a whole new Ghanaian. I’m not afraid of anyone. You can’t intimidate me. You just can’t. Nobody!!! I’m not one of the people you can intimidate in Ghana. F-k that shit!!!
