I’m the ‘Biblical Paul’ of NPP Politics – Freddy Blay

Acting National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Chairman aspirant Freddy Blay has described himself as the ‘Biblical Paul’ of NPP politics.

According to him, though he officially joined the NPP some few years ago, his hard work in the party can be compared to the Biblical Paul who did great works after he met Christ and converted.

“Every one will come from somewhere to join the party, I don’t want to mention names but the one I admire most, Victor Owusu was a CPP member and he became a Presidential candidate for the UP and we admire and appreciate him. I want to be appreciated in that kind of light that’s why I’m working hard to prove that I’m a loyal friend. I don’t need to do much to prove, but it’s my activities, my conduct and what I’ve been able to do for the party. Maybe you may want to call me Paul.” the former Deputy Speaker of Parliament told Joy FM.

He believes though he’s young in the party, he’s gained considerable grassroots support due to his hard work in his capacity as Acting Chairman contributed to the NPP’s victory in election 2016.

Five heavyweights, including the current acting Chairman, Mr Freddy Blay, former First Vice Chairman of the party, Mr Stephen Ayensu Ntim, Alhaji Abdul Rahman (aka Alhaji Short) Dr. Richard Amoako Baah and David Kankam Boadu are warming-up to the June elections expected to be one of the keenest in the NPP polls.

Mr. Freddie Blay is touting himself as well placed to win the challenge having steered the party from the woods to power in the 2016 general elections.

He became acting with the suspension of the elected Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko.
