A deputy Chief of Staff Francis Asenso-Boakye who was involved in an accident in the wee hours of Friday on the Accra-Kumasi highway has been examined and discharged by medical officers at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi.
He escaped unhurt from the near fatal crash which is said to have happened about 1:00am at the Konongo section of the highway.
Another vehicle reportedly crashed into the V8 vehicle he was travelling in from Accra to Sunyani ahead of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s tour of the Brong Ahafo Region.Moments later airbags in the vehicle were deployed.
The right side of the vehicle from the headlight area to the back bumper has been badly dented.
