Veteran actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, is alleging the ‘big men’ who spend lavishly on young ladies are politicians who steal from the state.

According to the actress, men who genuinely toil for their cash will not waste on young ladies at the expense of their families.

Grace Omaboe, who is a member of this years’ Golden Movie Awards jury, bemoans the falling standards of the Ghanaian movie industry.

The thespian describes as worrying the new trend in movies that seem to project bodies of the ladies featured rather than their talents.

Maame Dokonu cites Moesha as one of the actresses whose career thrives on indecent exposure.

She told JoyNews’ MzGee that, Moesha’s interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour makes her sad.

“They only thing that she has that she is using maybe to lure these guys is the butt and I think that [butt] is artificial…What she said, I am so sad about it,” she said.

She said the trade by Moesha and all other ladies of her calibre is short-lived and saddled with enduring dire repercussion.

“I bet you after some time, they will never benefit from that. They will see what it will bring to them. Our body was not made to be used by a lot of men to make money and you know most of these men who give them are politicians, they are businessmen who maybe, actually didn’t struggle to get their money,” the veteran actress stressed.

Maame Dokono concluded that “They should not let the big man use them like that, the monies they give them mostly are stolen money, monies that are stolen from the country.”
