Patapaa and a lady
The man who received massive attention for his outburst at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards, Patapaa, has been responding to what he refers to as false publications by bloggers.
One of those claims includes his purported nicknaming of his girlfriend ‘Pata Pitchy’.
Justice Amoah, better known as Patapaa Amisty, reveals that he doesn’t have any girlfriend by that name.
“No. You know the bloggers are plenty…They write anything they like,” he told JoyNews’ Maxwell Amoofia.
He stated that the proliferation of bloggers in Ghana has led to the growing trend of fake news created purposely for ‘hype’.
The news item carried by some online portals suggested that Patapaa’s girlfriend was called Pata Pitchy and the name was influenced by the relationship between his godfather, Shatta Wale, and his baby mama who is nicknamed Shatta Michy.
According to these portals, Patapaa tried following in the footsteps of his godfather by referring to his girlfriend as Pata Pitchy.
The 3 Music Awards winner explained the genesis of a photo taken with a video vixen that led to the false claim by some bloggers in Ghana.
‘‘I went to Liberia to do a collaboration with one of their artistes there. We finished and we were doing the video. She was part of the video. She is not from Ghana. No [she is] not my girlfriend,” he recounted.
Patapaa Amisty disclosed that he doesn’t have a girlfriend but readily gets girls who attend to his sexual needs.
He also questioned why he should have a girlfriend at this time.
