Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, Frank Annoh Dompreh has hurled a javelin at Ghanaians in the United Kingdom over their protest against President Nana Akufo-Addo while he was on a visit to the country.

Some Ghanaians ambushed the President to register their displeasure with his administration, chanting that he is a “traitor”.

President Akufo-Addo is in the UK for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London and a few other summits.

A video circulating on social media showed demonstrators, clad in red, hooting at the President but President Akufo-Addo could be seen giving a smile and wave at the protestors despite their agitation.

Speaking to sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’, Frank Annoh Dompreh lambasted the protestors in the UK stating that they have purposed to disgrace the President.

According to him, they are living abroad and so seem to have been hoodwinked to think that the citizens in Ghana do not appreciate the good works by the President.

Sending a strong message to the Ghanaians abroad, Annoh Dompreh stated emphatically that “if Ghanaians abroad can use the word ‘traitor’ to describe your President, Ghanaians here are watching you. So, those Ghanaians in UK who have purposed to disgrace the President, what did you say he has done? That he is a traitor, we thank you but we want you to know that as for us, Ghanaians who are with him in this country; he’s not a traitor to us”.
