C/R NPP Race: Desperate Ewusi slights delegates with dirty campaign – 1st Vice Chair

Barely 24hours to the governing New Patriotic Party’s regional elections across the country, 1st Vice Chairman aspirant in the Central region, Horace Ekow Ewusi  has reportedly seized on “baseless claims” to cause a stir in the weekend polls.

It is alleged that Ewusi’s purported dirty campaigns has sent tongues wagging in the already-heated campaign in the region.

Ekow Ewusi, has been in the business of digging up dirt on the regional executives in his last minute campaigns on the eve of the polls, a livid  Current 1st Vice Chairman, Joe Donkor told Kasapa 102.5 FM Friday.

According to the Ist Vice Chair, Mr. Ewusi has set out in his plot to undermine the internal polls, making unsubstantiated remarks against the delegates in the media and surprisingly denigrating the judiciary as well.

“He’s out there on Okay FM, insisting the delegates have collected monies from the Executives and have brought it to him. What’s more worrying is that till date he has revealed no conclusive evidence to that allegation. I dare the delegates not to allow desperate Ewusi to slight them with his dirty campaigns. The Central region is one of the peaceful enclaves in terms of politics, and we shouldn’t allow an alien who is not known in the region to spoil our records in the internal elections”

The New Patriotic Party will tomorrow hold its regional elections across the ten regions to elect executives to man affairs of the party at the regional level for the next four years.

The elections will run from tomorrow April 21, to Tuesday, April 24.

This comes after similar elections took place to choose polling station and constituency executives.

Acting General Secretary of the party, John Boadu, in a news conference on March 15, 2018, assured the rank and file of the party that adequate measures had been put in place to ensure a successful election.
