Accra Hearts of Oak star Winful Cobbinah was adjudged the 2016/17 Most Prestigious Player at last night’s MTN FA CUP awards gala.
The midfielder beat off competition from Kotoko’s Saddick Adams and Isaac Amoah Amidaus Professionals to win the coveted award.
Cobbinah took home a citation, a refrigerator and a Flat-screen Television.
Other award winners on the night were former Kotoko coach, Steve Pollack who won Best Coach of the year whiles Accra Hearts of Oak fans were adjudged the Supporters Group of the Year and Medeama SC centre-back Ibrahim Yaro was named the best defender of the competition.
Asante Kotoko’s Saddick Adams and Okyeman Planners’ Raphael Ocloo were adjudged Top Scorers at the MTN FA Cup Awards held in Accra after both players recorded five goals each at the end of the tournament.
As part of their award, the two players received a citation and a home theatre set each from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
