It has become quite ordinary for Gospel artistes to feature secular artistes on their songs and vice versa. Some of the successful collaborations are Herty Borngreat with Trigmatic and Sarkodie,Gifty Osei with Opanka and most recently Nacee with Guru.

According to one Gospel Musician Bra Paul born Paul Addae argued that it will be contradictory to condemn sinners and yet perform with a secular musician in the club for commercial gains.

” I don’t mean to be judgemental but let’s call a spade a spade , there’s no similarity in the mission of a secular artiste and a Gospel artiste and a Gospel artiste so how relevant will a collaboration be?” he queried

The unpopular Gospel musician said that he plans to do a collaboration with Ernest Opoku jnr. and Elder Mireku in his upcoming project.

My question is ; Are Secular Musicians deemed sinners or is it a sin to do secular music ? or does singing a Gospel song makes you a Christian?

I don’t understand why people tag secular Musicians as sinners and Gospel Musicians as Christians or righteous . I quite rememeber when ace highlife artiste Daddy lumba recorded a Gosple song after he was saved from a fatal accident . There was an automatic tag of Daddy Lumba being touched by God and repented from his sins.

So if a person sings a song without God’s word in it he/she has not been touched? A real sad thought of life i believe.

For me there is nothing wrong with any particular style of music , the lyrics determines whether a song is acceptable for a Christian or not.
