Samuel Appiah Gyan and Emmanuel Appiah Gyan with Mrs Samira Bawumia
Popular celebrity Photographers and bloggers, Twinsdntbeg known in real life as Samuel Appiah Gyan and Emmanuel Appiah Gyan have hinted on how they met the second lady of Ghana Mrs Samira Bawumia.
In an interview with Niilantei.com, they revealed that meeting the second lady was through social media(Facebook) and largely, their personal relations with others also played a part in knowing and working with the second lady.
“I think before the election we were quite popular on social media and we had the current Deputy Director of Communication at the presidency Fati Abubakar who was our Facebook friend reached out to us when they were prepping for campaign, she asked us to come up with a lot of ideas on how to make this campaign flourish and I think we suggested to her social media and photography and so we put together some proposals so she suggested we met the 2nd Lady Samira Bawumia to see what we can also do with her. So we met, talked and she liked us instantly and that was it”. they said.
Sharing their experiences working with the president of Ghana Akufo-Addo and the second lady, they said the journey so far has been humbling because every minute for them was a time to learn something new to become better.
To them, it is sad at how people think they made their way to the top through the help of people they know but for them, it was by dint of hardwork and passion which has brought them this far.
Speaking on the use of Social media, they added that, it is sad at how the youth has limited social media to only posting of pictures for likes, and even though they enjoy it, there’s more to it than sharing of pictures and garnering likes.
They made a passionate call to the youth to take advantage of social media and make good use of it and make it work well to their benefit because that is the only way to reach out to their target audience especially in the digitized world we live in.
They also urged everyone especially the youth to follow their passion and make what they love come to life since that is the surest way of attaining strides in what they do.
The duo, Twinsdntbeg, are the personalities behind the beautiful photos we admire from our celebrities and have worked with almost all the celebrities in Ghana if not all, of which has won them many awards to their credit.
