Ghanaian radio broadcaster of Adom FM, Captain Smart has condemned some cultural practices sturdily diminishing the rate of intellectual growth in the country.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he called for a total overhaul of the outmoded cultural myths and superstitions handed over to us by our forefathers.

He cited how in the past women were discouraged from engaging in sporting activities it will affect their breasts to buttress his point.

Based on this, Captain Smart said a lot of women were cornered to become housewives than to pursue their passion in sports.

The radio presenter made this assertion after some people in the public domain condemn an actress for saying she will go naked for a movie role if she is paid well.

According to Captain, he sees no wrong with that unless ‘the actress is 100 per cent naked’ in the movie because he can allow his daughter to act naked if she were a professional actress.

He has therefore urged the citizenry to shun following old and outmoded cultural practises that is dragging the development of the nation backwards.
