CAF CL: Aduana bundled out after heavy Setif 4-0 defeat

Aduana New 1Aduana Stars are reigning Ghana Premier League champions

Aduana Stars crashed out of the CAF Champions League in calamitous style with a 4-0 defeat by ES Setif in Algeria.

By this defeat, the Ghanaian champions drop to take part in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Aduana’s deserved 1-0 lead from the first leg of the last 32 clash at Dormaa Park last week was wiped out after 45 minutes had been played with Yusif Abubakar’s side culpable.

The Algerian side, former continental champions themselves, took the lead in 28th minute through Mourad Benayad. The striker added the second on the stroke of halftime.

Still, a goal was all Aduana needed to go through to the group stage for the first time but Setif scored another two in the second half, making it 4-1 on aggregate.
