Ex-Kotoko Asante Kotoko gaffer Didi Dramani has advised Ghana Premier League coaches not to overwork their players as they await for the delayed 2018 Ghana Premier League.

The domestic top-flight championship billed to start a month ago has been put on hold after Great Olympics placed an injunction on the start of the League.

“Clubs should be careful they don’t over and under train their players” he warned in an interview with Kumasi based Oyerapa FM. “This is the reason my stay at Kotoko was not successful. I played close to 34 friendlies and still the league didn’t start, which caused us not to perform”.

Dramani, who is currently with Norwegian side FC Nordsjælland, had this advice for Kotoko coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin.

“To the coach of a club like Kotoko where much is expected, he should be careful with the kind of training he takes the players through” adding that, the unduly long delays that have plagued the Ghana Premier League for four consecutive seasons could have dire consequences for our players and teams.

“If this thing of Ghana league delaying doesn’t stop, we will not see the best in our teams and our players even though Ghana [has] talents of many kinds”.

Coach Didi won the league with Kotoko in his first season and the double in his second season.
