Ghana’s Black Princesses will take on hosts France, Holland and New Zealand in the group stages of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup later this year.
The draw for the group stages was held in France on Thursday and after the balls were picked, the Black Princesses discovered for at least, their first three matches at the tournament.
Ghana made it to the finals after beating Cameroon 4-1 on aggregate in the final round of qualifying in Africa and they will come up against some top teams in the world.
Despite being hosts of the World Cup, France played in the the European Qualifiers but lost 2-1 to Spain in the final.
Holland will be making their debut in the World Cup but they come in with a strong attack that scored not less than two goals in each of their qualifying matches.
New Zealand went through their qualifiers undefeated and conceded only one goal.
Ghana’s Black Princesses will meet France and New Zealand for the second straight time in the World Cup. In the 2016 edition, New Zealand beat Ghana 1-0 while a 95th minute goal from France gave the Europeans 2-2 draw with Ghana.
Africa’s other representative in the World Cup will face Germany, Haiti, China PR.
