Eastern Region Referees Association to go to Congress on Jan. 20

The Eastern Regional Referees Association has set January 20, 2018 for its congress and regional elections at Asamankese.

The elections would be preceded by the congress, where 11 districts are expected to give their report and the regional body would also present a report and accounts of the association to congress.

The congress would also deliberate on the programme and activities of the association planned for this year.

Information reaching GNA Sports indicates that, as at the close of Friday, January 6, 15 candidates had submitted their nomination to contest various positions on the executive board of the Association.

Mr Agyeman Duah, the incumbent chairman of the association is being challenged by Mr Nicholas Djomoah.

The regional vice chairman position is being contested by Mr Ampem Darko and Mr Gyasi K. Samuel , whiles Mr Jones Akubiem and Mr B.D. Douglas Kporha would contest the position of the Secretary.

Mr Elletey Festus and Mr Djanku Ernest would contest for the position of the Assistant Secretary, with Mr Alex Anning and Mr Isaac Asante contesting for the regional treasurer position.

The Regional Instructor ( Technical) has Mr Agbovi William as the sole contender, whiles the deputy Instructor ( Technical) also have Mr Dally Gagba Emmanuel as the only contender.

The regional instructor (fitness) has Mr Isaac Quaye as the only contender and the deputy instructor (fitness) has Mr Sackitey Michael and Mr Obuobisah Timothy contesting for the ultimate

The new executives to be elected will serve for the next four years .
