So they should be less haphazard in a way,\u201d Mr Amissah-Arthur said.<\/p>\n<p>In his view, the programme could have been better thought out before implementation started.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Amissah-Athur also said Ghanaians were disappointed with the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that quite a number of people are disappointed as to where this country is being taken,\u201d the former deputy president told journalists in Ho, Volta Region on Monday after he and his wife made some donations to children on admission at the Ho Regional and Municipal hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe [NPP] government could have done better, that is what we are hoping for in the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As far as the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is concerned, Mr Amissah-Arthur said they are \u201canalysing what we could have done better looking at the national situation and deciding how we can move this nation forward. So that is what we are spending our time doing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCritically looking at policies, programmes that will move this country from where it is. I think that quite a number of people are disappointed as to where this country is being taken, and we are looking for an alternative that will provide better results.
