The President would have been 17 years old at the time.<\/p>\n<p>But in a\u00a0reaction, the Special Assistant to the Cocobod CEO, Fiifi Boafo prefaced his explanation by stating, \u201cI don\u2019t want to say it\u2019s a lie because it involves a former President\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He said the construction of the building began in January 2016 and was completed in six months.<\/p>\n<p>It is a one-storey building, has a five-bedroom Executive suite complete with a bar, dining area, kitchen and a kitchen yard, a pantry with two driver\u2019s quarters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe floor is furnished with porcelain tiles, not ceramics. It is porcelain\u201d, Fiifi Boafo told Joy News Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not an ordinary building we are talking about\u201d, he said and revealed the cost as 7.7 million cedis and not 5.2 million cedis as suggested by Bawa Mogtari.<\/p>\n<p>The Special Aide explained this new building stands on the same premises as the 1975 building referred to by the former President\u2019s Spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/ghana-news\/wp-content\/plugins\/lazy-load\/images\/1x1.trans.gif.pagespeed.ce.2JdGiI2i2V.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/COCOBOD-Guest-house.jpg\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-631341 size-full\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-631341 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/COCOBOD-Guest-house.jpg.pagespeed.ce.I_CBrhaK_A.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\"  \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>COCOBOD has claimed the construction of the guest house in Bole, the former President\u2019s hometown, was done to \u201cenable him enjoy comfortable holidays during visits to his constituency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is a claim, the former President\u2019s spokesperson has dismissed.
