{"id":421468,"date":"2017-09-23T13:44:09","date_gmt":"2017-09-23T13:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2017\/09\/23\/new-maritime-boundary-does-not-affect-ten-fields-tullow\/"},"modified":"2017-09-23T13:44:09","modified_gmt":"2017-09-23T13:44:09","slug":"new-maritime-boundary-does-not-affect-ten-fields-tullow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2017\/09\/23\/new-maritime-boundary-does-not-affect-ten-fields-tullow\/","title":{"rendered":"New maritime boundary does not affect TEN fields -Tullow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) says it\u00a0will work with the government\u00a0to put in place the necessary permits to allow the restart of development drilling in the TEN fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tullow expects to resume drilling around the end of the year which will allow production from the TEN fields to start to increase towards the FPSO design capacity of 80,000\u00a0bopd.<\/p>\n<p>The oil company&#8217;s statement is in response to\u00a0the Special Chamber of the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) in Hamburg&#8217;s ruling Saturday\u00a0with regard to the maritime boundary dispute between Ghana and C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/1002554\/Myjoyonline.com_InArticle_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/6986887552723_1183346198819.jpg\" style=\"border-style:solid; border-width:5px; height:369px; width:600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to ITLOS, the new maritime boundary as determined by the tribunal does not affect the TEN fields. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The tribunal accepted that the equidistance measurement be used and according to Petroleum Economist, the new boundary line determined the Tribunal \u201cdoes not materially affect Ghana\u2019s interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Currently, three oil fields, the Tweneboa, Enyira and Ntome (TEN)\u00a0oil fields are located in the area\u00a0and formed the subject matter of the maritime dispute between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Ivory Coast was claiming it had rights to the area where Ghana has been undertaking some hydrocarbon activities.<\/p>\n<p>An elated CEO of Tullow\u00a0Paul McDade\u00a0said,\u00a0\u201cTullow looks forward to continuing to work constructively with the Governments of both Ghana and C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire following the conclusion of this process.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While the TEN fields have performed well during the period of the drilling moratorium, we can now restart work on the additional drilling planned as part of the TEN fields\u2019 plan of development and take the fields towards their full potential,\u201d he added. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) says it\u00a0will work with the government\u00a0to put in place the necessary permits to allow the restart of development drilling in the TEN fields.\u00a0 Tullow expects to resume drilling around the end of the year which will allow production from the TEN fields to start to increase towards the FPSO design capacity [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-421468","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-business"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.8 -
