{"id":417886,"date":"2017-09-13T13:29:12","date_gmt":"2017-09-13T13:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2017\/09\/13\/ensure-ndc-owns-it-to-ensure-its-sustainability-isodec\/"},"modified":"2017-09-13T13:29:12","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T13:29:12","slug":"ensure-ndc-owns-it-to-ensure-its-sustainability-isodec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2017\/09\/13\/ensure-ndc-owns-it-to-ensure-its-sustainability-isodec\/","title":{"rendered":"Ensure NDC owns it to ensure its sustainability \u2013 ISODEC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/ISODEC-475x267.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\"> <\/aside>\n<p>The Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC), \u00a0has said government must be ready to accept suggestions for, and criticisms of the Free Senior High School programme from the main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).<\/p>\n<p>ISODEC believes it\u2019ll not be in the best interest of the nation, if government rejects inputs from the main opposition NDC in the implementation of the free SHS policy.<\/p>\n<p>President Akufo-Addo launching the policy on Tuesday said government reckons the challenges in the implementation of the free SHS policy, despite its best preparations and efforts, but said \u201cwe will be ready, in all humility, to accept inputs and criticisms aimed at improving the policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Free SHS commenced on Monday, 11 September 2017 across the country.<\/p>\n<p>But the minority has said the funding mechanism for the program is not sustainable. They are also demanding a blueprint for the policy, which was a major campaign message for President Akufo-Addo during the 2016 electioneering.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Campaign Coordinator at the Integrated Social Development Center (<em>ISODEC<\/em>), Dr. Steve Manteaw, in his critique of the free SHS policy only advised the ruling NPP government to make the policy open so it could be politically sustained in subsequent regimes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t make the major political party, which is one of the major stakeholders to bring their suggestions onboard, they\u2019ll not own it and when they come to power they\u2019ll find all excuses to either modify it or throw it away completely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC), \u00a0has said government must be ready to accept suggestions for, and criticisms of the Free Senior High School programme from the main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).
