{"id":416580,"date":"2017-09-09T12:46:56","date_gmt":"2017-09-09T12:46:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2017\/09\/09\/public-servants-to-receive-salary-arrears-by-end-of-september-after-validation-myjoyonline-com\/"},"modified":"2017-09-09T12:46:56","modified_gmt":"2017-09-09T12:46:56","slug":"public-servants-to-receive-salary-arrears-by-end-of-september-after-validation-myjoyonline-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2017\/09\/09\/public-servants-to-receive-salary-arrears-by-end-of-september-after-validation-myjoyonline-com\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Servants to receive salary arrears by end of September after validation\n&#8211; MyJoyOnline.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Public sector workers whose salaries were blocked last month as a result of their inability to be validated through the Electronic Payment Voucher System are likely to receive it by end of September.<\/p>\n<p>This follows a mad-rush by some heads of these public institutions to get their staff validated through the system with the Controller and Accountant General\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n<p>This was disclosed by the Controller and Accountant General, Eugene Ofosuhene, in an exclusive interview with JoyBusiness.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/1002554\/Myjoyonline.com_InArticle_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Controller and Accountant General\u2019s Department suspended salaries of seven thousand workers in the public sector for the month of August.<\/p>\n<p>This is because their heads of department failed to validate statuses in their respective institutions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The suspension has affected all public sector workers on the mechanized payroll, whose salaries have not been validated through the Electronic Payment Voucher System in August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Controller and Accountant General, Eugene Ofosuhene explains all affected persons are likely to receive their arrears by the end of this month.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThey will be receiving all their areas plus the salaries for September by the end of this month.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the practice will not end until full compliance is achieved.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Ofosuhene spoke after a stakeholder consultation for the 2018 to 2021 government budget and expenditure.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile the Controller and Accountant General has sent a strong signal to all contractors in the country to get approval from the Ministry of Finance and also get a certificate of automation before executing projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we don\u2019t have your certificate, payment will not be done,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Public sector workers whose salaries were blocked last month as a result of their inability to be validated through the Electronic Payment Voucher System are likely to receive it by end of September.
