I think we have made steady progress and we are hopeful of our chances, but that is no reason why we should be complacent or over-confident. The Burkinabes are a good side and they definitely would want to take advantage of them playing at home,” Konadu said.

“Ghana missed out on the last edition of the competition held in Cote d’Ivoire so we can’t afford not to be at the next event in Kenya. The players understand the mission ahead of us and they are determined to also make a name for themselves so, that is half of the job done, the remaining 50 per cent will be on the field on the day of play and we think we have prepared well for the task,” he emphasised.

Referee Issa SY from Senegal has meanwhile, been appointed to handle the match, with Serigne Cheikh Toure and Amadou Ngom both Senegalese, also named as his assistants. Daouda Gueye will be the fourth official.

For more news go to: www.graphic.com.gh

Related Articles:

Comments:
This article has no comments yet, be the first to comment

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            قالب وردپرس

Sports News of Tuesday, 8 August 2017 Source: Graphic.com.gh 2017-08-08 Black Stars B coach, Maxwell Konadu Maxwell Konadu, the assistant coach of Ghana’s Black Stars B, says the team will not undertake or take Burkina Faso for granted when they clash in Ouagadougou on Saturday.
