The National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has described as palpable false, Martin Amidu\u2019s recent epistle blaming the NDC for the internal wrangling at the Electoral Commission (EC).<\/p>\n

According to him, the former Attorney General popularly known as Citizen Vigilante is just bitter and has vowed to move heaven on earth to destroy President John Mahama.<\/p>\n

Mr. Amidu alleged the beleaguered chairperson of the Commission Charlotte Osei was appointed by former President John Mahama to rig the 2016 elections in his favor.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 As I said time without number during the 2016 elections, she was appointed by a corrupt Government precisely because of her incompetence that made her susceptible for use for an election rigging agenda.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer appointing Government failed in the rigging agenda despite all the attempts by the Commission to narrow the election to a two-party race to facilitate easy rigging for the incumbent.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has, either on her own or at the instance of her mentor, been trying to recycle herself as a neutral Electoral Commissioner after her Church Papa mediated her peaceful announcement of the election results,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

But Kofi Adams on Asempa FM\u2019s Ekosii Sen programme Monday dismissed the allegations as baseless, stressing that Mrs. Osei was not appointed to rig elections for the NDC.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anybody writes that, it tells you that\u2026the person is so so ignorant about the working of the Electoral Commission and about how results get declared in this country,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The NDC National Organizer noted that, the allegations by the Citizen Vigilante are borne out of hurt for not being maintained as the party\u2019s running mate over a series of elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe must wear off the bitterness of not being maintained as the running mate over a number of elections because the NDC would never have tasted a victory if he had continued being a running mate\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Kofi Adams said someone who just sit somewhere and write anything but it\u2019s not able to defend it cannot be taken serious.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
