{"id":409170,"date":"2017-08-04T14:36:52","date_gmt":"2017-08-04T14:36:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2017\/08\/04\/communications-ministry-considers-use-of-infodex-for-swift-e-services\/"},"modified":"2017-08-04T14:36:52","modified_gmt":"2017-08-04T14:36:52","slug":"communications-ministry-considers-use-of-infodex-for-swift-e-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2017\/08\/04\/communications-ministry-considers-use-of-infodex-for-swift-e-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Communications Ministry considers use of InfoDex for swift e-services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Communications Ministry is considering the use of InfoDex to facilitate the work of government agencies.<\/p>\n<p>InfoDex is a platform that enables quick provision of e-services where government applications and databases can seamlessly and easily be shared among private agencies and the public sector.<\/p>\n<p>Communications Minster, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said it is in everybody\u2019s interest to have an open data policy.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/1002554\/Myjoyonline.com_InArticle_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Mrs Owusu-Ekuful was speaking at a workshop under the theme \u201cCivic technology data sharing and analytics solutions in government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cThere\u2019s a data protection law which we will enforce. It is not enough to pass a law and leave it on our statute books.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThankfully enough we fairly have a robust legal regime. We will make sure that, that regime works for all of us, generate it, store it, use it in accordance to the law,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop brought together stakeholders to discuss the feasibility of introducing an Information and Data Exchange system, InfoDex, a platform initiated by Mauritius, in the public sector.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Owusu-Ekuful said, \u201cIt is one of those tools I believe we should consider seriously adopting to facilitate the ease of access to the stored information generated by public agencies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said \u201cif we develop a solution like this information highway, it will facilitate that data sharing that data exchange and improve efficiencies across the board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>InfoDex, is a robust service platform to facilitate the consumption of published data amongst government agencies and their private institutions thereby reducing the cost involved in data sharing services to improve operational efficiency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Communications Ministry is considering the use of InfoDex to facilitate the work of government agencies.
