The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne has described the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a party suffering from \u2018nkonfem syndrome\u2019.<\/p>\n

Likening the NDC to a confusion of guinea fowls, Sam Pyne said the party undertakes actions before proceeding further to ask about the motive behind the actions they took.<\/p>\n

Sam Pyne speaking on Adom FM\u2019s Morning Show, \u2018Dwaso Nsem\u2019 Thursday defined the \u2018nkonfem syndrome\u2019 as a situation which occurs when one fails to appreciate the contents of discussions before contributing to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is the nature of guinea fowls, they all join others to fly to unknown locations and after landing, they begin to ask one another, why are we here\u2026that is exactly what the NDC does now, they hold press conferences before getting details of the issues they raise\u2026,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Sam Pyne said this while commenting on the numerous press conferences held by the NDC in the past two weeks.<\/p>\n

The Minority in Parliament have for the past weeks been holding marathon press conferences to address various issues which they say lack clarification.<\/p>\n

The press conferences, Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament (MP) for Banda, Ahmed Ibrahim said are to raise awareness to the numerous and also ask the necessary questions about various government dealings.<\/p>\n

He said that the Minority would continue to hold the press conferences as long as they do not receive the needed answers to the questions they raise.<\/p>\n

Reacting to this, Majority Chief Whip, Matthew Nyindam said the government is not bothered about the press conferences by the minority as \u2018it is the duty of the opposition to be holding press conferences to discuss issues\u2019.<\/p>\n

He however said that the government would make use of \u2018useful contributions\u2019 from the press conferences from the minority.<\/p>\n

But Sam Pyne was of the opinion that the minority were raising issues which they lacked clear understanding of and hence entreated them to come out of the \u2018akonfem syndrome\u2019 so they can fully be abreast with the policies of the government.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
