Joseph Yamin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nFormer Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, under the erstwhile NDC government, Joseph Yamin is predicting the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)defeat in 2020 due to frustration.<\/p>\n
In his view, a government barely a year in office is finding it difficult to make ends meet due to the lies it peddled in the 2016 electioneering campaign.<\/p>\n
Joseph Yamin\u2019s comment comes after NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central\u00a0 Kennedy Agyapong threatened to reveal how the party won power in 2016.<\/p>\n
The outspoken MP who claimed he is yet to get a contract under the Akufo-Addo government because some NPP members are plotting to collapse his business.<\/p>\n
Ken Agyapong however warned those people to watch their backs when executing their diabolic plans.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one can also threaten me if they dare, I will come on radio and reveal how we won the election. If they can go and sit at Alisa Hotel and threaten to collapse my business\u2026they should get ready for me\u2026I am ready to face anybody in NPP\u2026 I have not been awarded any contract since we came to power\u2026\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n
But Mr Yamin on Accra-abed Neat FM said Ken Agyapong\u2019s lamentations exposes the frustration in government.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you give false hope to your people, these are the things you say. The \u2018winner takes all\u2019 issue is different than what ken is talking about. He is angry because he believes as an NPP MP; he is to be given a contract even if his company is not liable. That is dangerous for the country\u2026 It\u2019s frustration. They [NPP] are unable to fulfill their promises\u2026 they made the bigger promises\u2026\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cGhanaians should listen to the NPP carefully. Those who claim they are floating voters should listen to Ken. This doesn\u2019t hold\u2026\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Joseph Yamin cautioned \u2018disappointed\u2019 Ghanaians to be wary of the NPP party since they won\u2019t hold on to the \u2018juicy promises\u2019 they assured before winning the 2016 polls.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2020 the NPP will lose. Ghanaians are disappointed. Ghanaians will vote for a better party. The flat rate is affecting prices of goods. This is under a government who promised he will cut down tax. The additional regions haven\u2019t been created. The one district one factory hasn\u2019t started in June now it is July. Ghanaians took a wrong step in lies. Four years is close. People are calling for John Mahama\u2026\u201d he maintained.<\/p>\n
