The Old Students Association of Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO) has held its annual general meeting with a call on old students of the school to contribute towards achieving the five-year strategic plan aimed at improving the school.<\/p>\n
The five-year plan seeks to focus on the development, maintenance and replacement programme for physical infrastructure, equipment, machine and logistics of the school, proactively plan, design and provide quantities for\u00a0 future infrastructure requirement in line with land use plan, as well as foster a tradition of continuous improvement on academic standards, among others.<\/p>\n

According to the President of the association, Mr Frank Danso Danku Tiesie, in\u00a0 putting up the plan, various stakeholders and the school administration were brought together to identify the various areas the school needed to be improved upon.<\/p>\n

He said the five-year plan indicated the objectives of the school to measure up to the current standard.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mr Tiesie said the plan would focus on the infrastructural needs of the school, academic standards and what needed to be done to contribute to the schools\u2019 administration, adding, \u2018\u2018We are here to further explain to the old students to know the project which would be allocated to each year group.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are doing this to make sure academic performance will match up to other schools out there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

For his part, a past\u00a0 president of the association, Mr\u00a0 Asare Akuffo, said the five-year plan would provide opportunity for students, old students and stakeholders to contribute to the improvement of the school\u00a0 for a better learning environment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mr Tiesie said the plan would provide guidelines on how to handle the projects which would be allocated to the various year groups to contribute their quota to the development of the school.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He, therefore, urged old students in the various year groups to come together\u00a0 and collectively carry out all that had been stated in the plan.<\/p>\n
