{"id":384816,"date":"2017-04-06T12:19:30","date_gmt":"2017-04-06T12:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2017\/04\/06\/i-never-wanted-to-get-married-omotola\/"},"modified":"2017-04-06T12:19:30","modified_gmt":"2017-04-06T12:19:30","slug":"i-never-wanted-to-get-married-omotola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2017\/04\/06\/i-never-wanted-to-get-married-omotola\/","title":{"rendered":"I never wanted to get married \u2013 Omotola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\">&#13;<br \/>\n                <\/aside>\n<p><!-- Share buttons by mashshare.net - Version: 3.3.9--><\/p>\n<p>Talented Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has revealed that she never wanted to get married because she was an \u201cuncontrollable child\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Omotola who married at age 18, said her marriage to captain Matthew Ekeinde happened out of the blue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t ever looking out to get married,\u201d Omotola told <strong>Starr Chat<\/strong> host Bola Ray, adding \u201cmy mum used to tell me I would never get married because I was not controllable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mother of four who has starred in several hit movies including \u2018Mortal Inheritance\u2019 and describes herself as a stubborn woman said she is now happy with her \u201cangel and fantastic\u201d husband.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI met him [my husband] through church. I went to church hoping to disrupt the church\u2026in my mini hot skirt\u2026very hot\u2026I just wanted to make my own statement like I don\u2019t care what you think\u2026because in my mind and in my heart I was very good person but a lot of people thought I was a very bad person because of the way I dressed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the \u2018Blood Sisters\u2019 actress, she got married to Captain Ekeinde after his sister connected them.<\/p>\n<p>Omotola married pilot Captain Matthew Ekeinde in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>The couple later held a white ceremony on board a Dash 7 aircraft while flying from Lagos to Benin in 2001, with close family and friends present.<\/p>\n<p>Omotola gave birth to her first daughter on 30 March 1997. Together, they have four children, Princess, M.J, Merairah and Michael.
