The Asantes she said, prefers black or red coloured fabrics for funerals with the Ga-Dangmes also preferring red depending on the families\u2019 involved.   <\/p>\n<p>The white fabrics she stated is usually preferred for naming ceremonies among all tribes.  <\/p>\n<p>According to her, modernization has affected names assigned to fabrics.   <\/p>\n<p>The names assigned to the fabrics in modern times, she revealed are taken from hymns, songs among others.   <\/p>\n<p>She said, the decision to rename fabrics was due to the fact that, people were no longer patronizing the old fabrics with the old names.   <\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019Patronage for our fabrics is high. Our counterparts from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Abidjan came down to Ghana to buy our fabrics 8 years ago.
