Sequel to the proposed massive nationwide protest against the Federal government which is pioneered by 2Face Idibia, aka 2 Baba, a Nigerian professor, Akindele Adetoye, has come out to pour insult on the singer over his actions.
The professor in a Facebook post slammed 2face, throwing his past sexcapades on his face and asking him to govern his own personal life first before going against the government.
He wrote:
“You are a bloody illiterate. You had sex with all manners of girls without using condoms. You impregnated them and made babies all over the place. You now want to lead protest against the government because of lack of governance! Have you governed your own personal life? Charity, they say begins at home. Nonsense.”
Apparently fed up with the state of the economy and the deteriorating standard of living, Nigerians are for the first time, called for a massive nationwide protest against the government.
The march which is slated for the 5th of February, 2017, will see thousands of protesters take to the streets across the country in a call for good governance and an urgent demand for explanation as to why the nation’s economy is plunging downhill and so much more.
In solidarity, music legend 2face Idibia had on Wednesday morning taken to his Instagram account to call on Nigerians under the #NigeriaFirstPartners umbrella to support and turn out en masse for the nationwide protest against the Nigerian Government.

However, while other artistes like Davido, Burna Boy and Olamide have since pledged their support for the cause, Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan aired her opinion on the matter, presenting an alternative way of bringing about the change we want in Nigeria rather that engaging in a protest.

According to the actress who contested and lost a House of Assembly seat in Oyo State during the 2014 general elections, “it’s not enough for us to protest, it’s more important for us, youths of this beloved nation to get involved in governance”.
Funke Adesiyan shared a post on Instagram and tagged 2face Idibia himself. She wrote:
“When people ask me why I joined politics, I tell them from the truest of my heart that it is because I got tired of how things were being done in my country. It’s not enough for us to protest, it’s more important for us, youths of this beloved nation to get involved in governance.
“You could try many times before achieve it. Even if you fail all the time, you are a champion amongst those who didn’t try at all. Lets look around us, we will realize that we the youths are the driving force of our nation. We are smart, intelligent, agile and we possess many more special qualities.
“Let’s not waste it protesting to a deaf horse. I hereby advice we the youths of this nation, the most important part of nation building to rise and OCCUPY governance. Contest for public offices and be the change you so desire. God bless us all and God bless Nigeria.

While Nigerians are hailing 2face for standing up for a move that is long overdue, the professor believes he has no moral rights to lead the nationwide protest
