Ghana moved up one place to 51st in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
The Black Stars gained points after their 1-1 draw with Egypt in a final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier played in Cape Coast earlier this month.
The Black Stars, however, dropped down one place to 9th place on the continent, with Senegal moving above Tunisia into number 1 in Africa, and 23rd in the world- their highest ever position in the global ranking.
Tunisia (27), Egypt (31), Congo DR (36) and Herve Renard’s Morocco (40) complete the top five teams in Africa.
Germany remain the highest ranked team in the world with Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium completing the top five
