Veteran Journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr has called on the public to disregard prophecies from some so-called men of God about the death of ace broadcast journalist, Kwadwo Asare Baffour-Acheampong, popularly called KABA.
Following the demise of the late broadcaster, at least two renowned Prophets have come out saying they foresaw the death of the radio Presenter.
The founder and leader of Glorious Wave Church Int., Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi stated he hinted KABA’s impending death before his sudden demise.
According to him, he had told the deceased to meet with him and perhaps help avert his death but it never happened.
Another Prophet based in Kumasi also is said to have prophesied and cautioned the Multimedia Group to be fervent in prayer because they were going to hear tragic news.
Prophet Bishop Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel in Kumasi called for prayers for presenters in Ghana in order not for misfortune to befall them.
The man of God singled out presenters in Ghana especially; those with the Multimedia Group appealing to pastors who preach on those networks to fervently pray for the workers so that the machinations of the devil will not prevail.
“God protect our pastors. I know that Adom FM has pastors who pray for them. They should step up their prayers for Adom and the workers there especially even though we will also commit it to prayer as God has directed. We commit all presenters in Ghana before God any plans by the evil one against them will not succeed”, the Eagle Prophet said.
But reacting to the prophecies, Kweku Baako Jnr on Accra-based Peace FM described the prophecies as trash.
“These prophecies going rounds in the media is disturbing and I always ask myself whether to talk about it or not. There are some characters who have turned themselves as pathologists and predicting something that doesn’t add up.
“The family are bereaved and in pain, and that is where you hear some so called prophets saying they saw it coming. I think it’s just a complete trash and too young to make such baseless comments” he said.
The seasoned journalist warned the prophets to stop taking advantage of situation and stop being insensitive to the pains and loss of the family of the late radio presenter.
KABA last Saturday passed away after reportedly taken ill and rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
