President of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCC), Nana Dr Appiagyei Dankawoso I says the Chamber Business Awards which is slated for 25th November 2017 will celebrate all Ghanaians who have contributed significantly to the economic growth of the country.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Awards ceremony, Nana Dankawoso I said even though the awards are long overdue, the Chamber found this period most appropriate to appreciate personalities who have played key roles in the economic development of Ghana’s economy.

“The Chamber belongs to all Ghanaians and with that we want to see how best this time round we can appreciate entrepreneurs and personalities who have contributed immensely towards the development and progress of the economy of Ghana,” he said.

He added that the private sector has been the driving force for economic growth in the country taking into cognizance the fact that as government cannot do it all alone as such, “at a point we have to come in and recognise the contributions of these companies and personalities for their support all these years.

The maiden edition of the Awards is under the theme “Enterprises in Transition: Recognizing Innovative Businesses in Ghana” with the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expected to be the Special Guest of Honour.
