An old woman believed to be in her 60s has committed suicide at her home at Taifa Burkina, a suburb of Accra Thursday morning.
It is unclear what caused the woman to hang herself in her bathroom.
A neighbour, Auntie Esi who spoke to Kasapafmonline.com said the body was found hanging by a tenant who had gone to use the bathroom. The tenant, out of shock shouted for help which attracted hundreds of people to the deceased’s house where she was found foaming.
The residents are stunned by the woman’s death saying they’ve over the years known her to be a peaceful and responsible person and wonder what drove her to take her life.
The police was informed of the incident following which they came to the premises to convey the body away.
