Veteran football administrator Yaw Boateng-Gyan says lots of corruption in Ghana football originates from dealings at the Referees Appointment Committee
The Bofoakwa Tano board chairman alleges that club administrators have infiltrated the Referees Association to appoint match officials of their choice.
In an interview with Accra-based Atinka FM, the former Black Stars Management Committee Member said bribery and corruption has engulfed Ghana football at a rate never experienced before.
“I will be formally writing to the GFA to take a critical look into the referees appointment committee because it is the origin of all the rots in Ghana football”, He told Atinka FM
“Some of the teams are able to influence the selection of referees for their respective games and that is why referees tend to officiate in such awful manner”,
“The disciplinary committee is also another body that is full of underhand dealings and it is time we take a look at these bodies to restore sanity to our game”,
