Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Awutu Senya West in the Central region risked being jailed if he fails to sign a bond of good behaviour.

Sampson Abbey Armah was charged for assaulting the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, George Ansah during the 2016 electioneering campaign.

The then New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate lodge a complaint at the police and the case was processed to the Awutu Breku Magistrate court.

Abbey Armah pleaded not guilty insisting that the allegations being leveled against him is palpable false.

But when the case was called Wednesday August 9, 2017, the former DCE pleaded guilty and was ordered to sign a bond of good behavior for two years.

The court also ordered him to render an unqualified apology to Mr. Andah who is also the deputy Minister for Communications.
