Ghana defender Lumor Agbenyanu excelled for Portimonense SC in their 2-1 victory over Boavista FC in the opening day of the Portuguese Liga NOS at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão on Monday evening.
The enterprising left back returned to the newly promoted Portuguese top flight side after spending a short loan stint at German side 1860 Munich last season.
The 20-year-old churned out fine performances for the side in the Bundesliga II, but his services did not prevent the club from facing the relegation quagmire.
And in his first competitive game for Portimonense in the Portugal Liga NOS, Agbenyanu performed admirably well and played full throttle as the Portimão-based outfit commenced their campaign with a 2-1 win against Boavista FC.
The visitors went ahead in the 22nd minute through Diogo Rocha before strikes from Ruben Fernandes and Bruno Tabata in the 54th and 86th respective minutes won the game for Vitor Oliveira’s side.
The talented left footed fullback made his Black Stars debut appearance in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers game against the Walias of Ethiopia last month at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
