Dr. Hassan Ayariga, Supreme leader and founder of All People’s Congress (APC) party has said, he never criticized President Nana Akufo Addo’s government since he assumed office.

He rather encouraged the president to work hard to fulfill his campaign promises and pleaded with Ghanaians both home and abroad to exercise patience, pray for president and support him to succeed. According him, Ghanaians are expecting so much from the president because of the various assurances he gave to them during the campaign period.

Speaking to the host of political show on Amenado Radio, Solomon Owusu, in Denver, Colorado, USA on Sunday August 6, 2017 , Dr. Ayariga explained why he has kept mute on the new government because Nana Addo has lots of responsibilities on his table.

However, he said he was disappointed in Nana Addo about the comment he made when he was asked about the implementation date of the free SHS, during his recent presser at the Flagstaff House.

He spoke about some pressing issues in Ghana, including the economic situation, security, corruption and the towing levy.

In his view, Nana Addo should at least, implement the free SHS even if he is unable to fulfil some of the major campaign promises, including one district, one factory, one million dollars for each district, and one dam for each district.

“Ghanaians will be disappointed in Nana Addo if he is unable to fulfil the free SHS policy, because he campaigned for it in 2008, 2012 and 2016”, he said.

He continued with his submission on the free SHS, saying the policy will release lots of stress from parents, especially the underprivileged in the country.

Expressing his opinion on the current economic situation of the country, Dr. Ayariga said, the cost of living is still high although taxes have been reduced.

“My brother, Ghanaians voted for change but they are not feeling it because electricity bill is still high, water bill is high, food is costly, fuel price is skyrocketing, and the whole system is slow as at now. Like I said earlier, it is still early to comment on his administration but Nana shouldn’t disappoint the good people of Ghana who voted for change”, he opined.

Dr. Hassan Ayariga is currently in USA with his family for vacation and they are based in Virgina.
