Hebalife donates to SOS Children’s Village, Tema
Mr. Evans Obour, Member of Herbalife Nutrition Millionaire Team, has observed that good nutrition is a requisite to good body and mental development among children.
He made the observation during the launch of the First Casa Herbalife Programme in Ghana by the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) in collaboration with SOS Children’s Village, Tema.
The Programme which was to bring good nutrition to children in need provided 10,000 United States Dollar (USD) towards the nutritional support of the children cared for by SOS Children’s Village this year and would support the organization in future with annual grants.
“It is a privilege to be here today to see how our funding and volunteerism can assist these children in getting good nutrition which helps them in their development,” he said.
To celebrate the launch of Casa Herbalife, twelve Independent Herbalife Nutrition Members from across Ghana visited SOS Children’s Village in Tema and hosted a nutrition day.
Herbalife Nutrition Members interacted with the children in a relaxed atmosphere full of excitement and educated them on the value of good nutrition and how to lead healthy and active life.
Mr. Fred Amissah, Herbalife Nutrition Ghana Country Director said, “HFF was committed to improving the lives of children around the world by supporting charitable organizations that provided one of life’s most basic necessities, i.e. good nutrition.”
He said the Casa Herbalife Programme provided millions of dollars in funding and volunteer assistance each year to more than 130 organizations across the world adding “these funds bring nutrition to more than 100,000 children in over 50 countries on a daily basis.”
He welcomed SOS Children’s Village into the Casa Herbalife Family on behalf of the Herbalife Nutrition Members and staff who had raised funds to make the donation possible.
The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children by helping charitable organizations provide healthy nutrition to children in need.
Established in 1994, HFF supported relief efforts in response to catastrophic disasters around the world.
HFF is currently supporting over 130 Casa Herbalife Programmes in more than 50 countries and serves over 100,000 children daily.
HFF is supported by Independent Herbalife Members, their friends and families and Herbalife employees.
