“We are very corrupt as people of this country “, the private legal practitioner made the allegations Saturday on Joy FM’s Newsfile analysis program.

“We have the police, Economics and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) and Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and others why do we have to establish the office of the Independent Special Prosecutor”, he quizzed.

He asked the essence of the establishment of Office of a Special Prosecutor when these institutions have been mandated to do the work.

According to him, it is out of place for the government to establish any office to handle cases of political nature with existing mandated institutions in already in place.

“Why then have Special Prosecutor’s Office”, Lawyer Kofi Bentil quizzed on the show hosted by Samson Lardy.
