Former Premier League campaigners, Dreams FC, maintained their winning ways by defeating Young Wise 2-1 away in a keenly contested Division One League Zone 3 battle last weekend.

The important victory consolidated Dreams FC’s lead with 57 points and enhanced their chances of returning to the Premiership next season.

Second and third-placed Hearts of Lions and Vision FC drew with Kotoko Royals and Uncle T United respectively, leaving them trailing on 48 points apiece on the league table.

In Zone 2, runaway Karela United stretched their lead further with a vital 2-1 away win over Achiken, putting their qualification beyond doubt even with matches left. They are favourites to win the league and get promoted.

Title chasers, New Edubiase United and Bibiani Gold Stars, both lost to Nzema Kotoko and Proud United respectively away.

However, Eleven Wonders beat 2-0 at home Nea Salamina to stay on top of Zone 3, with just a point between them in Zone 1.

Third-placed Unity FC came out 2-1 victors over Techiman City to maintain their chase for the sole zonal slot.
