A controversial entertainment critic, Prince Tsegah has quit social media following threats of death from fans of self-acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale.

The outspoken entertainment pundit incurred the wrath of the Shatta fans when he criticized the musician for not living up to expectation.

The issue became murkier when Mr. Tsegah also known as The Don, host of ‘You Say Wetin’ On Hitz FM reported on his show that Shatta Michy’s Diamond pub at East Legon was to be demolished by officials of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) for having placed the structure at an unauthorized location also without a permit .

According to The Don, Michy who was reported to have begged the officials of the AMA, was given a one week ultimatum to vacate the place.

Social media was set on fire with the news and even Michy’s husband and self-acclaimed dancehall King Shatta wale was not spared. He was slammed for not legally acquiring a land for his wife when he always bragged about the wealth he has acquired.

This incensed fans of Shatta Wale who have threatened to kill Mr. Tsegah for bringing the name of their ‘Supreme god’ into disrepute.

Speaking on Adom entertainment Hall last Saturday with Mike2, Tsegah said, the fans of Shatta Wale especially on facebook have threatened to pour acid on him

“I left social media because of Shatta fans. They come on social media and insult my parents, my children and my great grandchildren and also threatening with texts that when I talk about Shatta and they see me, they will pour acid on me”

‘I think more discerning people will not behave like the fans are doing”, he fumes.

“I am not afraid of them but I just don’t want it to get to me. If it gets to me I will lose focus. I want to continue doing what I’m doing without fear or favor. They have been doing it always but they are now realizing that they can’t do anything to me again” he said.
