Nasco Electronics donates to wife of late Kotoko official

Electroland Ghana limited manufacturers of Nasco electronics has made a donation to the wife and family of the late deputy equipment officer of Asante Kotoko, Thomas Obeng Asare.

Making the donation of the items which included a Deep Freezer, boxes of water and an undisclosed amount of money at the family house of the late Thomas Asare at Esereso, a town on the outskirt of Kumasi ahead of the one week commemoration of his passing, Hadi Nadji Branch manager for Electroland intimated that the donation was to support the wife (Mrs Portia Obeng Okyere) start a small business on her own to be able to take care of the four children left behind by the former Kotoko employee.

Mrs Obeng Okyere, who received the items was thankful to Electroland for the kind gesture shown her and the family.

Thomas Asare passed away exactly a week ago today when Ghana’s most successful club, Asante Kotoko were involved in a fatal accident that left several others injured at Nkawkaw on their way back to Kumasi after a Ghana premier League game in Accra.

Electroland made a further donation of drinks and boxers of water to the Kotoko team that were injured in the accident at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). The items were received on the team’s behalf by Kotoko’s coach Steve Pollack who is still on admission at the hospital.
