President Akufo-Addo has said Ghana is a rich nation and his government is putting measures in place to enable Ghanaians enjoy the wealth of the country.
“Ghana is not a poor country, rather a rich country .We are initiating measures that will soon improve the living standards of the citizens for Ghanaians to realize that indeed we are sitting on money,” He said in local language .
The President said this while speaking at the Ohum durbar in Kyebi in the Eastern region.
He said his appointees are very knowledgeable and competent to help him build a prosperous country.
He called on Ghanaians to pray for him for good health and strength to enable him execute his vision for Ghana.
On his part, Okyenhene called on the President to ensure that Ghanaians do not continue to wallow in abject poverty. He said poverty must not be a hindrance to any Ghanaian child in their quest for education.
He lamented roads in Akyem Abuakwa which are in tatters and called on government to fix them.
The Okyenhene entreated the President to check some of his appointees who are becoming disrespectful in his government.
