Entrepreneurs have lauded government’s plan to promote and develop entrepreneurship in the country.
President Akuffo Addo on Thursday launched a 100million dollar National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan aimed at boosting job creation for national development.
The Chief Executive of the African Network of Entrepreneurs, Ekow Mensah said the move is timely.
Mr. Mensah spoke to Joy Business at the second Ghana Startup Awards which saw Joy Business receive an honorary award for its contribution towards building the startup firms.
He said, “that is a good approach by the current government to work with the ecosystem players to support 10000 startups and SMEs and we are excited about that. I hope they go according to that plan and we know it will succeed.
“we need a lot of capacity building, access to information and create that environment where there are support systems in place to support them. I think that most of the startups are getting more and more competitive because they recognized that the world is a global village and they need competitiveness to stay afloat and we hoping to work with all the players that will give them that exposure to go beyond Ghana”
