Ghana’s goalkeeper Razak Brimah has disclosed that, he puts the nation ahead of any club and that has cost his career with Spanish side Cordoba.
The goalkeeper has terminated his contract with Cordoba after he was dropped to the bench since the Africa Cup of Nations in February.
The reason according to the Brimah who spoke to Citi FM was because he chose the country over the club.
“I was asked if I wanted to play for Ghana or stay with the club and I decided to play for Ghana. I have not enjoyed game time ever since and needed to move on”, he stated.
He added that, he has received offers all over and now looking up to his management to settle on a club for him.
“I love Ghana and will choose to play for the Black Stars ahead of any club”, he stated.
The player drew the anger of Ghanaians in Gabon when he threw verbal salvos at critics who blamed him for conceding to many goals.
He eventually apologized but was left out of Kwesi Appiah’s squad currently in USA to play a friendly match with the US national team.
