Photos: Kpone to benefit from Chase Logistics’ court and library project

 Kpone-Katamanso District Chief Executive, Solomon Appiah has revealed that residents in the district will benefit from a GH¢ 700,000.00 Magistrate court and community library project by Chase Logistics ltd.

The Kpone Magistrate court when completed will help resolve disputes within the district here in Greater Accra.

The DCE who was delighted after a sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of the projects admitted the gesture by Chase Logistics take off some burden on the shoulders of the District Assembly.

“I must admit that what we are seeing today would have put so much pressure on the kitty of the Assembly and as a result we are grateful to Chase Logistics,” he said.

According to the DCE, he has spoken with some friends abroad who will help him stock the library with books and other relevant materials for the betterment of the community.

The project which is expected to be completed by end of this year is also expected to instill discipline as miscreants will be prosecuted.

Acting Managing Director of Chase Logistics, Bartholomew Darko in an interview said the company being a good corporate citizen decided to give back to the community in which their Tema Tank farm is located.

Explaining why they decided to build a library, he said CH Group Ltd for which Chase Logistics is part places premium on education as it is one of the surest ways of achieving holistic development.

“Aside the school, having a court for the judiciary to operate goes to show our love for the Rule of Law in the current democratic dispensation,”he said.

The Kpone Traditional council has expressed its delight for the realization of the project as this will help punish offenders and instill discipline.

The event was attended by Kpone Tradition council, members of the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly as well other invited guests.
