Osei Assibey being introduced to the KMA officials

The new Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) says he would not tolerate lateness to work at the assembly.

He therefore admonished staff of KMA to report to work on time to avert trouble.

Hon. Osei Assibey gave the stern warning when he made an unannounced visit to the various units and offices of the KMA on Tuesday.

The Kumasi Mayor, who is hard working, visited the offices at about 8:30am to check whether staff were at post.

Most of the workers were in their offices feverishly preparing for the day’s work during the Mayor’s unannounced visit.

Hon. Osei Assibey noted that prompt attendance to work, dedication and commitment to deliver could help the assembly to achieve its set targets.

Meanwhile, the Kumasi Mayor has been introduced to virtually all staff of the assembly by the KMA Coordinating Director, Michael Ataogye.

The KMA Presiding Member (PM), Abraham Boadi, Godwin Okumah Nyame, KMA Public Relations Officer (PRO) and other staff of the assembly were present.

Hon. Osei Assibey interacted with the KMA staff, who seemed happy due to affability of the KMA boss.

The Mayor asked each staff of the assembly about peculiar problems in their units.

Hon. Osei Assibey stated that the move would help draw the KMA staff closer to him to help develop Kumasi.

He declared that he cannot develop Kumasi alone and entreated the public, notably KMA staff, to work actively support him.
