The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has clarified the capacity in which Coach Frimpong Manso joins the Porcupine Warriors technical team
According to Operations Manager of the club, Ernest Owusu Ansah, the former Black Stars defender joins the club to play an advisory role and will therefore not sit on the bench in the last four matches of the first round.
“Frimpong Manso coming in to help doesn’t mean he will work under Ablordey. That’s not what it implies. Let’s make it clear that, his role will be advisory”, stated the Operations Manager.
“Management believes that, Ablordey needs support and help. Frimpong Manso’s presence will add weight to the technical ideas at training and especially ahead of our matches. He will not sit on our bench,” he added.
Ablordey was handed the latest assignment after the club parted ways with Head Coach, Zdravko Logarusic on Sunday night.
Kotoko’s last four matches of the first round are against Wa All Stars away; Aduana Stars at home; Great Olympics in Accra and Tema Youth in Kumasi.
